Approximately 13 kms, southeast of the town of Haliburton, Glamor Lake can be reached by taking Highway 118 east from Haliburton to Glamorgan Road (County Road 3), with many roads branching off and leading you in to various spots on the lake. Glamor Lake is a good sized lake found north of Gooderham, with nice clean, clear water. From a 2019 publication, there are a reported 144 properties on the lake.
There is a public boat launch located at the north end of the lake off of Glamor Lake Road before the dam into Little Glamor Lake.

Fishing is quite good for smallmouth bass and they have been found up to 3.5lb in size. A natural population of lake trout has provided good fishing on Glamor Lake for decades. However, in recent years special restrictions were put in place to help protect fragile species. Rainbow trout have also been stocked in the lake.
